The Becker Boys Great Strawberry Shake-Off
Our family is all about strawberry shakes, so we decided to find the best shake offered in our area. The first round was completed during the summer of 2005 and now in 2006 we will have the second round as we taste our way towards the champion of the Strawberry shake!
Summer of 2006 - Shake-Off Second Round - these restaurants have made the second round of the Shake-Off and were randomly selected to compete against each other.
The second round will be run like a single-elimination survivor-style contest. Two simultaneous cars are sent to the two restuarants. Each restaurant will be told when the shake is ordered that the shake would be judged and who their competition is. We do urge them NOT to stray from their normal recipe.
Each shake is taken home quickly in coolers and poured into four small color-coded
(or number coded) cups to keep the tasters
(other than Dad) from knowing
which shake is from which restaurant. Judging is based on the following
categories:
Thickest, Strawberry-est, and Tastiest.
But when it came down to it...the tastiest one is voted the winner!
